Engineering Service and Support

Through CMS (GB) Ltd, machinehealers offer national engineering support throughout the United Kingdom and Northern Europe for Ferrania’s LIFERAY Equipment and Agfa’s conventional Processors. A full range of processors are dealt with, from both a preventative maintenance and breakdown perspective.

Preventative Maintenance

These programmes are developed in full consultation with equipment manufacturers and designed to maximise machine efficiency and reliability. Preventative Maintenance Visits (PMV’s) include the replacement of an agreed parts kit, again to improve overall reliability and therefore machine uptime. Engineers complete a comprehensive check sheet, ensuring that all areas of the PMV are covered satisfactorily to the manufacturer’s own specifications.

Breakdowns

In the event of breakdown being reported to machinehealers, a trained front line Technician will initially attempt to diagnose and resolve the fault over the telephone. If the problem cannot be rectified in this manner an engineer will be requested, and normally be onsite within six working hours (with a faster response available by contract).

Machinehealers Engineering and Technical Support teams are typically available Monday to Saturday 8:00 to 20:00, with additional Sunday cover available on request. Should customers require further support outside these hours it is the group’s policy to maintain a flexible approach to accommodate any customer request.

Training and Spare Parts

The engineering team are trained alongside the manufacturer’s own engineers, ensuring consistent field support for the equipment. Our engineers have access to the very latest engineering support tools including our own TIPS system. TIPS has been designed and built with engineers in mind and gives each engineer apparelled access to the very latest fault fixes.

Engineers carry a comprehensive spare parts car stock. This is designed to give engineers access to the most frequently used parts, again ensuring maximum uptime for machines is achieved. In the event of an engineer requiring further parts, these can be made available the following morning either directly from the manufacturer or from our own stock, helping to maintain our target 90% first time fix rate.
