About us

Environmental approach

Veritek is committed to being a socially and environmentally responsible organisation.

Our customers

Veritek provides a ‘cradle to grave’ policy for the equipment we manage, removing, recycling, exporting and selling any machines that are no longer required by our customers. In the event that a machine is un-useable, we break it down to be disposed of in an environmentally sound way.

All electrical component parts are returned back to our warehouses to maintain compliance with WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directives.

Our offices

All our offices use low output lighting, efficient climate control, insulation, and bespoke power kill switches to ensure energy wastage is kept to a minimum. Recycling is actively promoted, including paper, plastics, metals and general waste.

How we work

Most of our field operations rely on the use of vehicles as a business tool. As an environmentally conscious organisation we have an obligation to reduce vehicle emissions and fuel usage. Every month the fleet manager studies fuel consumption and works with the operational and logistics department to ensure that work is scheduled in the most efficient manner.

Our fleet is currently being upgraded to incorporate electric and low emission diesel models. We are also trialing third party engine management systems to change the fuel mix so the amount of fuel burnt in the engine is reduced.

UNICOM, our web based service management system, combined with our global ICT infrastructure, which incorporates the latest web conferencing facilities and VoIP telephone systems, means that our staff can carry out any job, from anywhere in the world, cutting down on travelling time as meetings can be conducted ‘virtually’, by voice or video conference.
